McLaren’s Zak Brown is open to the idea of having up to 28 Grands Prix in the World Championship, as long as there is a rotation system in place. The surge in popularity of F1 has led to the addition of races in countries like the Netherlands, Miami, Las Vegas, and Saudi Arabia, with a total of 24 races planned for 2024. The concept of rotating races between countries, where one country hosts in odd years and another in even years, has been suggested as a possible solution to the demand for more races. However, the practicality and economics of such a system need to be considered. Another suggestion is to group races by region in order to minimize travel effects and exposure the sport to more countries. The discussions are ongoing, but for now, 24 races is the maximum number that can be managed. There is also hope of bringing a Grand Prix back to Africa, which currently does not have a race, and Lewis Hamilton has been supportive of the idea of returning to South Africa.
